Prof Athanasios Strigas

Prof. Athanasios Strigas is Professor in Sport Management at the University of Peloponnese. He completed his doctoral studies in Florida State University, U.S.A., majoring in Sport Management. His areas of expertise are in sport volunteerism, diversity and inclusion, and social marketing. Dr Strigas has considerable experience in leading postgraduate programs in the U.S, Morocco and Cyprus.
He is currently serving as the Vice President of the Greek Tae Kwon Do Federation, and leads the Committee on Diversity and Inclusion at the European Tae Kwon Do Union (ETU). Dr Strigas has been involved as a researcher and administrator in numerous sport mega-events: in 2009, he was invited by the organizing committee to conduct research on volunteers for the inaugural Formula 1 ETIHAD Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
